Qualified electronic seal
The university gets its own qualified seal, purchased and activated in the system. Every credential has the legal force of a document bearing an eIDAS-compliant seal.
European standard
Credentials use the European Digital Credentials for Learning format, which is recognised across the European Union, and students can save them in their Europass wallet.
Verification and student wallet
Employers check a credential’s authenticity by scanning its QR code. Students keep their credentials in the Credentium Wallet app and add them to LinkedIn with one click.
Integration with Moodle and USOS
The issuing module, the verification module and the API connect to the systems the university already uses. The university defines the criteria for issuing credentials.

The “Lifelong Learning” programme
Micro-credentials are one of the tasks in the “Lifelong Learning” programme for universities run by the National Centre for Research and Development (NCBR). How is a micro-credential different from a certificate issued by the dean’s office?
A micro-credential is a digital document bearing the university’s qualified seal, and anyone can verify it with a QR code without contacting the university. It describes specific learning outcomes using a European standard.
Does the university need to buy its own seal?
Yes, and buying the seal is part of the rollout. The seal is issued in the university’s name, so the credentials are the university’s documents, not the system vendor’s.
Who decides when a credential is issued?
The university. We agree the criteria together at a workshop before launch, and the system issues a credential only once those criteria are met.
Can credentials be added to Europass and LinkedIn?
Yes. The EDC format lets students save a credential in their Europass wallet, and the Credentium Wallet app lets them publish it on LinkedIn.
