A traditional certificate usually does no more than confirm that someone has completed a course, passed an exam or attended an event. A digital credential can say much more.
A digital credential can carry structured information about the achievement, the skills gained, the learning outcomes, the issuer and the criteria for earning it. Its holder can share it with an employer, a university or another organisation, which can verify it without contacting the issuer.
Credentium combines a human-readable credential with data that IT systems can read and use as well.
As a result, a digital credential is no longer just an electronic version of a paper certificate. It becomes portable, verifiable proof of achievement.
