CloudTeam is taking stock of AI Heroes 2026, a free, nationwide AI training programme that it designed and ran entirely online in cooperation with Microsoft Polska. Lenovo was the programme's technology partner. In total, 138,230 people signed up, and 53,590 completed their chosen track and received a European Digital Credential. CloudTeam had planned to issue 20,000 credentials. It issued 268% of that number.
CloudTeam set a registration target of 50,000 people and reached 276% of it. A total of 68,958 people (49.9% of those registered) started learning. Of these, 77.7% completed their track and earned a credential: almost four in five. There were 2.1 times as many active learners as in the entire 2025 edition, in which 32,485 people started learning. Altogether, participants watched 2.6 million minutes of material, both live and on demand. Women made up 47% of participants and men 53%.
Who earned a credential
The largest group of credential holders, 40,045 people, is made up of company employees across a range of industries and roles. Credentials were also earned by 7,697 people from public administration and the public sector, and by 5,848 secondary school and university students. In surveys, 88.1% of respondents said the programme had improved their ability to use AI at work. Willingness to recommend the training to friends scored an average of 8.93 out of 10.
CloudTeam prepared four certification tracks and 38 live sessions with experts:
- AI Fluency: everyday work with Copilot, prompt writing, safe use of AI and no-code agents;
- AI Agents: for managers, system architects and development teams, covering Copilot Studio, Azure AI Foundry and GitHub Copilot;
- AI for School and University Students: AI in learning, research and critical thinking, also open to teachers;
- AI in the Public Sector: public services, GDPR and the AI Act.
The tracks were led by Damian Świderek and Robert Jezierski (Microsoft Certified Trainers on the worldwide Top 100 MCT list) and Marcin Szeliga (Microsoft MVP). They were complemented by six special sessions with experts from Microsoft and GitHub. Participants included employees of Poczta Polska, PKN Orlen, Enea, Polska Spółka Gazownictwa, Bank Pekao, Nest Bank, PLL LOT, PKP Intercity and AmRest. People from public institutions, universities and secondary schools also took part.
We don't want a certificate for completing a training track to be just a nice-looking PDF. We issue every digital credential through Credentium, our own platform, as a verifiable credential based on the EDC standard. It's the standard of the future, and it provides trustworthy proof of the skills people have gained.

CloudTeam built the programme portal entirely on Microsoft Azure and deployed it exclusively in EU regions. Trainers ran the sessions from Microsoft Teams, and participants watched them in a browser without installing any software. Every session was available as a recording. The system records only actual viewing time; pauses and idle time are not counted. Each quiz unlocks only after the material has been watched. Points and six gamification levels encouraged participants to keep coming back to the platform. The portal and its communications are available in all 24 official EU languages and in Arabic.
The European Digital Credentials are issued by Credentium, CloudTeam's platform. Each credential is generated automatically once a track is completed and complies with the EDC (European Digital Credentials) standard. It carries an eIDAS qualified electronic seal. Its authenticity can be verified in seconds via a public verification link in the participant's wallet.
A year ago, we saw just how great the demand is for practical, accessible education in artificial intelligence. That's why this edition is more extensive, better structured and even more focused on practical skills, and our goal was to guide participants through the entire process, right up to earning a European Digital Credential.
